Melanie Griffith has checked into a rehab facility, her rep confirms to Star.
"She is there to reinforce her commitment to stay healthy. This is part of a routine plan that was designed between her and her doctors years ago," Melanie's publicist, Robin Baum, told Star of the actress' stay at Cirque Lodge in Utah.
But an insider tells Star that this stint in rehab is a bid to save her marriage. "She's working with the counselors on getting control of her demons."
The 52-year-old movie star has battled addictions to drugs and booze since she was a teenager and she's had several previous stints in rehab. But her latest fall off the wagon is the last straw for her husband of 13 years, Antonio Banderas.
"The reason Melanie checked in was her husband was demanding that she get clean and sober," another source tells Star. "He told her that if she didn't get the help she needed it would be the end of their marriage."
According to a third source, "Melanie's struggling right now, but Antonio has been checking in on her as much as he is allowed, making sure she gets back on her feet. Without Antonio in her life, I honestly believe Melanie would be dead."

WHO REALLY CARES..SERIOUSLY??? THESE PPL DO THE SAME **** OVER AND OVER AGAIN..NOTHING NEW..GOING IN CIRCLES..LIKE A HAMSTER IN A CAGE!!!! NO BIG DEAL..NO SYMPATHY HERE OR KUDO'S!!!

I'm shocked!!!!!!! lol she started drinking or using again... who goes back to rehab after a decade just to reinforce their commitment....she had the commitment by not using for that long. well good luck to u!

Shes probably dealing with the insecurities of getting older and being married to Antonio Banderas! (ooh, im thinking of how hot he looked in Interview with a Vampire)But seriously, i hope she gets well. It must be a hard road for anyone who battles addictions, also how it affects their families.

Always too much with her. throw in plastic surgery along with alcohol 'n drugs. dont really like her but I wish her the best. hope Antonio hasnt found any one new yet. Hes HOT.

hope she gets better. addiction is the worst evil. poor melanie. she's so sweet. antonio stay with her and support her. she loves u. good luck to the family

Until she does it for herself it wont work. She would die if Antonio left her? I used to think the same thing about my husband but when he died VERY unexpectedly 7 years ago after 28 wonderful years of marriage I found i had no choice but to go on living.Now i'm soooo glad i did.
