Grammy winning rock star brothers Kings of Leon have stepped in to save their father from drinking himself to death!
Nathan, Caleb and Jared Followill put their estranged father Ivan in a California rehab in December after it became apparent the former Pentecostal evangelical preacher was "literally close to death," a family friend tells Star exclusively.
"Their dad lives in Oklahoma and had fallen on hard times, working part-time as a house painter. He's had a terrible drinking problem on and off for years but he didn't have the money to get treatment — and he couldn't bring himself to ask his boys for help," says the insider.
The brothers staged an intervention and now Ivan is getting the help he needs.

You all are cruel saying let him die. What if someone said that about your dad. You must not have lost anyone close because you would not say that. I wish them all the best of luck!

I admire these guys for the fact that they cared for their father despite his illness. It should also be a cautionary time for them as two of them drink very heavily.

Hopefully, one of the sons r not alcoholics. But if u knw ur family is one and it effects them. U could prevent urself by not becoming one.

I hope the dad wants to get well. That must be stressful for the family to have to do an intervention.
